It sounds like a crazy plan, isn’t it???? Y nos dijimos: “We are in! Why not?”

Yesssss! We’re off! Oink! Holidays are coming! Holidays are coming! Yes, holidays are here🎶🎶🎶🥳
🚲💨💨💨
It all started when we found out that the yeyes, abused by Lua and Otto, would be visiting us. So we looked for tickets for that red bus decorated with the most famous pig family in the world that we had seen so many times driving around the centre of London. If anyone has earned our little ones' love for Peppa and the whole tribe, it's their grandparents. I still remember when my father would turn up at home with the Peppa Pig magazine he had ordered for Lua from the kiosk on the corner. However, as expected, there were no tickets left at such short notice and we decided, surprisingly, to buy them anyway for later, even if the yeyes could not enjoy it. And I say "surprisingly" because we knew that this year we were going to take them to Legoland for the kids' day (one of our own inventions). But, afternoon tea, in a vintage bus driving through the centre of London, with songs from the Peppa Pig album playing non-stop... It sounds like a crazy plan, isn't it???? And we said to ourselves: "We are in! Why not?"

Get down to business, it's worth it. yessssssssssssssssssssssssss! It's a fun family experience. Thanks to Peppa and her people, we had a great time once again. We have to say that of the 12 families that signed up for the adventure, ours was the joy of the garden. We sang all the songs, we knew them by heart because the Peppa album was played repeatedly in our confinement (baby Jesus' little word); we answered all the questions asked by the entertainer, lots of them!; we translated half of what the entertainer was explaining to the passengers who knew half the mass; we ate and drank everything, well almost everything (the kids didn't help us much); and we all had more than one fit of giggles between us all.
Brigit's Bakery is the organiser of this event. The bus departs from Somerset House at 12.15pm and at 2.45pm. Children must be 2 years or older to attend and there are changing facilities and a toilet available. There are 12 tables on board the bus, the whole tour lasts about 90 minutes and no one is allowed to leave their seats once the tour starts. Neither our eldest 6 year old nor our youngest 2 nearly 3 years old found it too much of a chore as the visit is very well accompanied by the host and the staff on board. Everyone is very attentive and over the top friendly.
Highlights: Explanations of some of the city's sights during the tour (Tower Bridge, the London Eye, Big Ben, Borough Market, etc.); questions to the children and their families. The tour is very entertaining, with the host asking trivia questions; the good vibes of all the staff; the songs that are played and which are connected to the Peppa Pig cartoons or stories, especially the one entitled Peppa goes to London; the little abuse of the interactive screens, on which sometimes some scenes from Peppa Pig episodes are projected, a fact that we were very grateful for. All in all, it is a feast for the eyes as well as for the stomach and a feast beyond measure.
The menu offers a typical Peppa Pig themed afternoon tea. So you'll find: Peppa Pig biscuits, Daddy Pig mini pizzas, Mummy Pig strawberry macaron and George's seasonal fruit tart, among other delights. Halfway through the tour come my favourites, scones!!!! They're not the best in town, of course, but they're served warm with their clotted cream and strawberry jam. Yummy!!!
There will be plenty of food left over, especially if your little ones aren't too sugary. Our youngest only ate the hummus and a piece of biscuit; and our eldest ate all the mini pizzas, she wouldn't even let us try them. Just as you can take the reusable cups home with you, so can the leftover food. In our case, we took 3 boxes of food with us, and that's when daddy and me and a friend of mine got our boots on!!!! And with a full belly and a happy heart we left the red bus, grateful once again to Peppa and all her family, as imperfect as ours.
And with this and a sponge cake until September at 8. Yesssss! We're off! Oink! Holidays are coming! Holidays are coming! Yes holidays are here🎶🎶🎶🥳
